Listing Details
Every listing on GrowLab Market has its own detail page where you can view photos, read the description, check the seller's information, and decide how to get in touch. This guide walks you through everything you'll find on a listing page.
Photo Gallery
The listing's photos are displayed at the top of the page in a large gallery area. If the seller uploaded multiple images, you'll see thumbnail previews below the main photo. Tap or click any thumbnail to switch the main image.
To see a photo in full screen, click the main image (you'll notice a small expand icon appears when you hover). This opens the lightbox viewer, a dark overlay that shows the image at full size. While in the lightbox:
- Use the left and right arrow buttons on screen (or the arrow keys on your keyboard) to move between photos.
- A counter in the top-left corner shows which image you're viewing (e.g. "2 / 5").
- Thumbnail strips at the bottom let you jump to any photo directly.
- Press Escape or click the X button to close the lightbox.
If the seller hasn't uploaded any photos yet, you'll see a placeholder graphic instead.
Listing Information
Below the gallery, you'll find the core details about the item:
- Category and condition badges -- The category (e.g. Aquatic Plants, Equipment) appears as a green badge you can click to browse more items in that category. The condition (New, Used, Grown, Tissue Culture, or Seed) appears alongside it.
- Title -- The listing's name, displayed prominently.
- Price -- Shown in Philippine Pesos. If the seller marked the price as negotiable, you'll see a small "Negotiable" label beneath it. Listings can also be marked as "Free" or "Contact seller" for pricing.
- Quick facts panel -- A grid of four summary cards showing the pricing style, condition, location, and how long ago the listing was posted.
- Description -- The seller's detailed write-up about the item, which may include formatted text with bold, lists, or links.
- Tags -- Keyword tags at the bottom that you can click to search for similar listings. Tags appear as clickable chips starting with a "#" symbol.
A buyer checklist section follows with three practical tips: ask for current photos and quantity, confirm meetup or shipping details, and check the seller's profile and social accounts.
Contacting the Seller
The seller's contact information appears in the sidebar card on the right side of the page (or below the main content on mobile). You'll see:
- The seller's avatar, name, and location.
- A "Verified" badge if the seller has been verified.
- When they joined GrowLab Market.
- Seller stats showing their number of active listings and total views.
Below the stats, you'll find the seller's social links -- buttons for platforms like Facebook, Messenger, Viber, Instagram, and TikTok, depending on which ones the seller has set up. Click any button to open that platform and reach out to the seller directly. There's also a "View seller profile" link that takes you to their full profile page.
If the contact login gate is enabled, visitors who aren't logged in will see blurred placeholder buttons with a prompt to log in first. Simply sign in with your Google account to reveal the seller's contact details.
Saving Listings
Found something you're interested in but not ready to buy yet? Use the "Save to collection" button in the sidebar. Saving lets you organize listings into custom collections so you can find them later.
When you click the save button:
- A modal opens showing your existing collections with checkboxes.
- Check one or more collections to save the listing there.
- To create a new collection, type a name in the field at the bottom and click Add. Name it anything you like -- "Wishlist", "Propagation Ideas", "Next Tank", etc.
- Uncheck a collection to remove the listing from it.
If you're not signed in, clicking the save button redirects you to the login page first. After signing in, you'll be brought back to pick up where you left off.
You can manage all your saved collections from your account dashboard.
Following Sellers
If you like what a seller offers, you can follow them to stay updated. Click the Follow button next to their name in the seller card.
Once you're following someone, click the button again to open notification settings where you can choose your preferred level:
- New listings only -- Get notified when they post a new listing.
- All activity -- Also covers price changes, sold items, and restocked items.
- Priority -- Email and push notifications (coming soon).
To unfollow a seller, open the follow settings and click Unfollow at the bottom.
The follow button won't appear on your own listings -- you can only follow other sellers.
Sharing
Want to share a listing with a friend or your plant group? The Share section in the sidebar gives you several options:
- Facebook -- Opens a Facebook share dialog with the listing link.
- Messenger -- Opens Messenger so you can send the listing directly to someone.
- Viber -- Sends a forwarding message through Viber with the listing title and link.
- Copy link -- Copies the listing URL to your clipboard. The button briefly changes to "Copied" to confirm.
- Share (on mobile) -- If your device supports native sharing, you'll see an additional Share button that opens your phone's built-in share sheet, letting you send via any app.
Each listing has a unique URL that includes the seller identifier, so links always point to the correct item.
Reporting a Listing
If you come across a listing that seems problematic, you can report it. Below the share section, you'll find a small Report link (this only appears on other people's listings, not your own).
Clicking it expands a form where you can:
- Select a reason: Spam or irrelevant, Prohibited item, Misleading information, Duplicate listing, Suspected scam, or Other.
- Optionally add more details (up to 500 characters).
- Click Submit report.
You need to be signed in to submit a report. Each user can only report a given listing once -- if you've already reported it, you'll see a message letting you know the team is reviewing it.
View Count
Each listing displays a view count with an eye icon, showing how many people have looked at it. Views are tracked carefully to keep the numbers meaningful:
- A view only counts after you've been on the page for at least 3 seconds, filtering out accidental clicks and quick back-navigation.
- If you view the same listing again within 12 hours, it won't count as a new view.
- Sellers viewing their own listings don't add to the count.
This means the number you see reflects genuine interest from real visitors.
Related Listings
At the bottom of every listing page, you'll find two sections of suggestions:
- More from this seller -- Other active listings from the same seller, so you can browse their full range. This section only appears if the seller has other listings.
- Related listings -- Recent listings in the same category from other sellers. Helpful for comparing options or discovering similar items you might have missed.
Click any listing card to visit its detail page.
